Digital Media Strategy Consultant
Greydale Africa is seeking an experienced Digital Media Strategy Consultant to provide technical leadership and performance oversight across paid digital media campaigns.
This role is designed as a fractional consultancy, working alongside Account Managers and a Junior Digital Media Specialist to ensure digital campaigns are technically sound, optimised for performance, and aligned with broader lead-generation and event-led strategies.
The consultant will not manage client accounts day-to-day, but will own digital media strategy, optimisation frameworks, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
· Define, oversee, and technically guide paid digital media strategies across platforms including LinkedIn, Meta, and Google, with a strong emphasis on B2B demand generation and lead quality
· Provide expert media buying guidance, including:
Ø Channel and campaign structure
Ø Bidding strategies
Ø Budget pacing and optimisation approaches
Ø Platform-specific best practices
· Advise on audience targeting and segmentation, including account-based marketing (ABM), lookalike audiences, retargeting strategies, and full-funnel B2B approaches
· Ensure robust conversion tracking and measurement frameworks, including correct setup and validation of:
Ø Pixels and tags
Ø Conversion events
Ø Attribution and reporting structures
· Guide funnel design and optimisation, including:
Ø Landing pages and forms
Ø Lead capture and qualification flows
Ø Retargeting logic and conversion paths
· Review campaign performance at a strategic and technical level, providing clear, actionable optimisation recommendations rather than day-to-day execution
· Support media budget allocation and efficiency improvements, advising on:
Ø Spend distribution across channels and funnels
Ø Cost-efficiency metrics (CPL, CPA)
Ø Scaling and testing decisions
· Establish and document digital media best practices, templates, and governance processes to improve consistency, performance, and compliance
· Provide technical guidance, quality assurance, and mentorship to the Junior Digital Media Specialist, supporting skill development and execution accuracy
· Collaborate with Account Managers to translate client objectives and business goals into effective, technically sound digital media approaches
· Participate in selected internal strategy, planning, and performance review meetings to provide expert input and validation
· Deliver clear, insight-driven performance analysis and recommendations for internal teams and stakeholders, focused on improvement and decision-making
Key Qualifications:
· 7+ years’ experience in digital media, performance marketing, or paid media strategy
· Strong technical expertise in LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Ads
· Proven experience in B2B lead generation and performance optimisation
· Deep understanding of conversion tracking, analytics, and attribution
· Experience working in agency or multi-client environments
· Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
· Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
Working Arrangement
· The Consultant shall spend a minimum of ten (10) hours per week in our office in Nairobi for meetings, coordination, and collaboration with the team.
The remaining time shall be allocated at the Consultant’s discretion to meet agreed deliverables
