At PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Mombasa, Kenya’s top public sector leaders, policymakers, and tech innovators gathered for the Digital Transformation Public Sector (DTPS) Forum & Awards 2025. An initiative by Greydale Africa in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy (MICDE), the event brought together over 300 key decision-makers to drive the next phase of Kenya’s digital evolution.

Lavinniah Muthoni Mwongera – The Strategic Force Behind DTPS

At the forefront of this initiative was Lavinniah Muthoni Mwongera, the Managing Partner of Greydale Africa. Her leadership and Greydale’s strategic expertise ensured DTPS 2025 was more than an event, it was a catalyst for change. Under her stewardship, Greydale Africa has emerged as a key enabler of Africa’s digital revolution, bridging public and private sector collaborations to accelerate impactful transformation.

CS William Kabogo – Championing Policy for a Digital Kenya

As Cabinet Secretary for MICDE, Hon. William Kabogo delivered a powerful keynote,”The capacity of our governments to serve effectively hinges on how seamlessly we can connect systems, data and paper. Digital transformation is no longer a choice, it is a necessity for public institutions striving to meet the needs of citizens and efficiently manage resources.” 

Reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to digital innovation, his speech set the tone for bold policy shifts aimed at removing bureaucratic bottlenecks, fostering innovation, and prioritizing citizen-centric digital services.

PS Eng. John Tanui – Engineering the Future of E-Government

Principal Secretary Eng. John Tanui, known for his hands-on approach to tech-driven transformation, presented his vision on Kenya’s digital infrastructure expansion. His address outlined how investments in fiber optics, cloud services, and AI-powered e-government platforms are laying the groundwork for a smarter, more efficient public sector. “The many initiatives we are doing for digitalization will shape the direction of our country, unlock more opportunities, bring efficiency, close corruption loopholes and bring transparency.”
